Nicholas Whittall Photography… where does one start? Well, it’s a humble beginning for sure… and remains more a journey of passion than one of professionalism.

I shoot mostly landscapes and wildlife images and find myself at home in the outdoors as the early morning sun crests the horizon or as the evening light fades for the night.

I try to view life “through the lens” so to speak… not because I think my life needs some sort of plug-in to make it more interesting… but rather because I see things differently, more creatively and generally more interestingly through the lens.

I come from a couple of generations of photographic enthusiasts – and so I guess the love of this art form was buried in my genes from a young age. Having grown up in the wildlife-rich country of South Africa… and now living amongst the most incredible and expansive landscapes of California and the broader USA, I find myself thoroughly enjoying the quest to further explore the mystery of photography.
